Ideas and recommendations for the Lovewater Test Drive Meme:
- Assume your character has already had a little time to settle in! When the game opens, and after each monthly app round, there will be open logs etc. for newcomers to share their culture shock.
- The below is given to provide some potential jumping-off points, but you don't have to use it. You can also throw out a network post, or a prose/brackets starter set elsewhere in town!
- TDM threads can be used as one app sample, assuming your tags meet the requirements.
- TDM threads can be adopted as 'game canon' later (if both characters have joined and both players agree!).
- Please identify your character's name and canon in the subject of your first tag, along with any preferences e.g. 'Bruce Banner | Marvel Cinematic Universe | M/F only, no sex' or 'Jack Harkness | Torchwood/Dr Who | All Smut All The Time Come At Me'.
- Please use content warnings in subjects if they apply; however, this whole meme is considered NSFW so don't feel obligated to warn for sexual content.
1. Welcome to the Exchange.
The marketplace sprawls across the ground floor, a variety of stalls and little shops, selling almost everything your horniest, kinkiest needs require - and if it isn't sold here, the staff will be more than happy to tell you who in town can make it for you. The market is clean and well-lit, and the atmosphere here is friendly and helpful. You as an individual might be a little embarassed to be browsing smutty literature or aids to intimacy, but the vendors are more than happy to explain what their goods are and which orifice they're designed for.
Are you just browsing, or shopping with someone in particular in mind - even if that person is you? Maybe you're even looking for someone who seems like they're into the same things you are.
The marketplace also extends a little upstairs onto the first floor, but this area is mostly broken up into classrooms and demonstration spaces. In one room, a nurse is giving a talk on sexual health; in another, a rigger and her partner are giving a demonstration on safe suspension bondage. Various educational pamphlets are available and a mailbox has been left with a pile of paper slips, for those who'd prefer their questions answered anonymously during a weekly Q&A.
Are you here to learn? Maybe you're running a class yourself. Maybe you can't quite bring yourself to sit in on a session yet, so you're just looking at the leaflets for now.
Go upstairs again, and you'll find a lounge - refreshments are available, and those here are either in a state of semi-undress or wrapped in a bathrobe. Beyond this is another, larger space where there are fewer clothes and much more intimacy; people fucking in here do it knowing they're going to be seen and might ask, or be asked by, others to join in. A corridor wrapping around this floor leads into a number of bedrooms, with large curtained windows facing inwards. Signage explains that an open curtain and a closed door is an invitation to watch; an open door is an invitation to ask to join in.
All the way downstairs, in the basement, the layout is similar to that on the second floor - but the equipment down here is decidedly different. There are still beds and the like, but there are also spanking benches, Saint Andrew's crosses, manacles and racks of (lovingly maintained and sterilised) assorted toys.

2. Lovewater Gate Park
The park is almost as big as the town itself, with vast swathes of green lawns and carefully tended flowerbeds lying to the south of the residential streets. Paths are carefuly laid. The day is bright but cold, with an icy bite to the air and the occasional sharp breeze.
If you're an animal lover, there are some fallow deer which are a little skittish of people, and rabbits which will come right up to your toes and stare hopefully at you if you're eating. There's also a flock of wild parakeets, bright green birds which will eat from your hand if you're patient.
There's a lake to the south-east, with rowboats to hire, and even the occasional friendly local who'll teach you how to use the oars if you're not sure. One end of the lake is cordoned off for brave swimmers - and yes, the water is clean enough for swimming, albeit not warm enough for a lot of people. Overlooking the lake is a cafe, selling drinks and refreshments and keeping its customers warm against the winter chill.
There always tends to be a few things happening in the park. An outdoor yoga class, a running club, a game of five-a-side football, a landscape drawing session. You can drop in and out of these activities, or run one yourself.
3. Following Some Upset
The problem with recruiting the superpowered, of course, is that occasionally one of them will have a difference of opinion with another and things escalate and then a few buildings get destroyed. While the culprits get a ding on their record and a talking-to about resolving conflicts using their words, this does mean that some work has to be done to get things back on track.
If you were planning on buying anything from the five or six shops affected - unfortunately, you're going to have to wait, because Amazon doesn't deliver here or indeed know that 'here' exists. Maybe you were a little bit more intimately involved, and you're still bruised from the collateral damage. Maybe you were one of the ones getting the talking-to.
On the other, more constructive hand, rewards are always available for those happy the help the community! The site supervisor is happy to lend a hard hat and a hi-vis jacket to anyone who's willing to help shift rubble or haul building supplies from the station. All the better if you know anything about plumbing.
4. Miss Lovewater Dreams
Not every day is going to be spent in the town itself, of course. Sometimes, the world around you will fade away - but the one that replaces it will feel like the only world you've ever known. And that world could be literally anywhere. The depths of the ocean, the vast expanse of space, an alien planet, another universe entirely. And while who you are, the seed of what drives and defines you, will remain - other parts of you will be reshaped. Your age, your species, your role in life are all mutable in the Dreamlife.
